Historically, SES has been driven by its customers to store all deposits in physical secure storage using a UK sovereign storage partner which has since been acquired by a US based public corporation. However, over the past 10 years, digital storage has evolved to become more secure, more efficient and more resilient than any physical alternative.
The move to Microsoft Azure provides high security, high availability and flexible storage options for our customers, driven by their needs and requirements to store increasingly large and complex materials under a Software Escrow Agreement.
Microsoft Azures digital storage complies with a wealth of standard and regional security policies (a complete list can be found HERE). In addition, SES’s internal processes comply with ISO: 27001, ISO: 9001 and Cyber Essentials. This provides assurances that our customers data is secured to the highest standards, throughout its journey with us.
The reason SES is choosing to transition to digital secure storage over physical legacy storage is to better protect and more easily retrieve material in an efficient manner. This provides the following benefits to our customers.
